Hyprnote is small, fast and honest about being a notepad. It runs on your machine, it is open source, and it does not pretend to be a platform. That restraint is a feature: it starts instantly and there is very little to go wrong.
Where HuddleOwl differs
The scope is the whole difference. Hyprnote is not trying to react during a call or grade one afterwards, and HuddleOwl is only trying to do those things. If you want a lean local notepad, the extra machinery in HuddleOwl is weight you are carrying for nothing.

It is trying to change the call while you are on it, and then tell you honestly how you ran it, with the line from the transcript behind every score.

Cluely also carries a positioning HuddleOwl does not want, around interviews and exams; HuddleOwl hides the coaching overlay from a screen share, and does not hide that a recording is happening.
