Install it
Drag it in on a Mac, run the installer on Windows. No account, nothing to sign up for, and nothing to configure before the first call.

Allow the microphone
A normal permission. Your own voice is one of the two tracks it captures.

Allow system audio, on macOS
This is the one that catches people. It is what lets the app hear the other side of the call. On macOS 14.4 and later there is no prompt at all; below that, macOS puts it behind Screen and System Audio Recording, which sounds like it wants to watch your screen and does not.

If the permission looks granted and capture still fails
Quit the app completely, Cmd Q rather than closing the window, and open it again. The grant binds to a running process, and the app has been running since before you granted it. This is the single most common setup problem and it takes ten seconds.
