Support
Free for one person, and staying that way.
HuddleOwl is built by one person. There is no company behind it deciding that the free tier needs trimming, and there is not going to be. If it has saved you a call, you can put something in.
Monthly or once
Sponsor on GitHub. Recurring support is what turns this from a thing built on spare weekends into a thing with a release schedule, so it is the one that actually changes what gets built.
Handled by GitHub. Tiers from a few dollars a month, cancel any time, and GitHub takes no cut on a personal account. Needs a GitHub account and a card.
Open the Sponsors page if the button above does not load.
Any amount, once, UPI or card
No GitHub account needed, and it takes UPI. If you are in India this is almost certainly the easier one.
Nothing in the app changes either way, because the app was never the thing being sold here. Nothing about your meetings, your machine or your use of the app is attached to either payment, because the app is not involved in this page at all.
Where it goes
The time, which is the whole product
One person builds this. Every feature, every bug, every reply to an issue, mostly at night and at weekends. That time has a price, because the alternative use of it is billable client work. It is the largest line here by a distance.
Hours of testing, every release
It compiled and it works are different claims. Every release is installed and run by hand on Apple silicon, on Intel Mac and on Windows, permissions clicked through from a clean machine and a real meeting recorded end to end. That is most of a day, and it is why the installers work on first launch.
The machines to test on
Three platforms tested honestly means three platforms owned. No virtual machine tells you the truth about audio capture, screen share or GPU acceleration.
Signing and notarisation
The Apple Developer Program is a fixed yearly cost and is what removes the warning macOS currently shows. A Windows certificate is a few hundred a year and is what removes the SmartScreen block. Pure gatekeeping fees, and the first things bought.
Build minutes and the model work
Every release compiles on a macOS runner and a Windows runner, and macOS minutes bill at ten times the Linux rate. Then the benchmarking, quantising and packaging that keeps the on-device models genuinely useful rather than technically present.
If you would rather not send money, the things that help just as much are telling somebody who runs a lot of calls, and telling us what broke.
